Support men’s health this Movember

November means Movember, which for the guys out there, involves growing your moustache this month to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer.

What started with a few friends in Adelaide growing their mo’s in 1999 has evolved into an annual event that has so far raised $770 million for charities including the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the Cancer Society and Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, and Beyond Blue.

Studies show that testicular cancer is the second most common cancer in young Australian men, behind skin cancer. So guys, what can you do about it? The answer is simple: Know thy nuts.

Ladies (and those less hirsute) can support Movember by accepting the Move Challenge, which just means raising funds for this great cause while you get active. Here are a few fundraising tips to get you started, and here are some ideas if you’d like to host an event.
